Forecast Discussion
Lake effect snow will pick up today as a storm system departs the
Northeast. Strong winds from the northwest will transport moisture from
the Great Lakes into our region. The heaviest snows will occur near Erie
today and tonight, while we will see only a few stray snow showers. The
breezy conditions will persist through tomorrow with highs struggling to
reach 30. Another system from the South is expected to approach the
Commonwealth late Sunday. As of now, only light snow showers are
expected. Conditions will remain seasonably cold through at least early
next week.-- Prepared by the Campus Weather Service
