Patton Township police were waiting for former Penn State football player LaVon Chisley in the Bellefonte courthouse this morning and immediately handcuffed him after he voluntarily turned himself in.

New evidence pointing to former Penn State football player LaVon Chisley in the murder of a Penn State senior in June was revealed today through the criminal complaint filed by the Commonwealth Sunday.

Senior Nathan Galloway left the Penn State wrestling team earlier today, according to a press release from the Penn State Athletic Department. No reason was given by the press release for Galloway's departure.

Downtown State College's shops and restaurants, heavily dependent on student revenue, were forced to cope with a dramatic decline in business during the past three weeks.

The Penn State men's track and field team needed little time to display how succesful its winter training has been going.

The Penn State women's track and field team opened up its 2007 indoor season by serving as host for the Penn State Relays at the Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track.

For women who use birth control pills but aren't fond of swallowing them, a new chewable form of contraceptive may provide a convenient alternative. A chewable birth control pill was made available Dec. 7 by pharmaceutical company Warner Chilcott, said Rochelle Fuhrmann, director of Investor Relations at the company.

When it comes to consoles, 2007 rang in the year of the Wii, ending the reign of the Playstation gaming systems.

In an effort to drop extra pounds put on over break, returning students typically flood campus gyms and fitness centers across the country to battle the post-holiday bulge.

According to a recent Louisiana Tech study, only 11 percent of college students reported receiving quality sleep. The majority of college students practice unhealthy sleep patterns, according to the study.
