A woman reported Sunday that she was sexually assaulted by three men and a woman at Allen Park Apartments, 1013 S. Allen St., the State College Police Department said.

Police are unsure when the assault occurred or whether the alleged victim was a Penn State student.

The alleged victim told police she could identify one of the male assailants as a Penn State student, but the other three were unknown to her, police said.

However, police said the four assailants were acquaintances.

The alleged victim went to the emergency room at Mount Nittany Medical Center and reported the incident at about 9 p.m.
Sunday. Police would not release if she was injured or the status of her condition. Police said it had not yet been determined if the incident was alcohol-related.

Police said they could not release any more information about the alleged assault because the investigation is ongoing. The number of assailants is one aspect of the case that is being investigated.

State College Police Detective Steve Bosak is conducting this investigation.

According to Collegian archives, this is the sixth reported sexual assault this semester.

Only one of the other reported sexual assaults had more than one assailant.
