Students scalping tickets a disappointment to PSU

I used to think that Penn State had the best student section in the nation. Now, after seeing all of the posts on the Daily Jolt and LionConnection trying to sell Outback Bowl tickets for $200 or best offer, I am saddened and disappointed. It seems like more people entered the lottery for tickets only to sell them, not to go to Tampa to watch our Nittany Lions battle the Volunteers.

Last year's Orange Bowl is one of, if not the best, memory of my four years here at Penn State. Unfortunately, my friends and I will not be able to attend the Outback Bowl because of greedy students who see a need to take the fun away from the real fans.

We cannot afford tickets over $80, and I know that it will be impossible to find a ticket, let alone 10, under $80 from our fellow student profiteers.

To all who won tickets just to turn around and sell them, you are embarrassing to our students, alumni and Penn State altogether.

If you honestly cannot go to Tampa, have a heart and sell your tickets for face value. After all, we are all Penn State, we all want to cheer on our Lions in person, and we all want to have enough money left over to pay for the gas to get there.
