In response to the review "Godsmack Rocks BJC" (Dec. 4), I would like to offer some advice to the Collegian.

When choosing which reporter to send to which event, it might be in your best interest to send a reporter who might actually enjoy what he or she is about to attend. This reporter clearly wasn't a Godsmack fan and was insulting to Godsmack's music and it showed with his writing.

Saying that Sully Erna has "vocal and lyrical shortcomings" is ridiculous because he is the most multi-talented band member I've ever seen.

And yes, anger and rage are key parts of most rock music, but if you don't enjoy that type of music, then Godsmack clearly wasn't a good concert choice for you.

Any true fan would have expected the creepy videos, being yelled at to stand up and angry lyrics because that's what we paid money for.

This article was a true disappointment to read and I hope that Britney Spears makes a trip out to State College soon so this reporter can enjoy some quality, meaningful music.
