Letter to the Editor
Price is Right' champion defends television show

This is written in response to a poorly planned letter to the editor, ("Price is Right obsession out of control on campus," Dec. 1) in which a lost soul voiced his disapproval of The Price is Right.

Now as a Price is Right champion (I won $32,000 of cash and prizes on the show) I feel obligated to defend the show.

I can understand his desire to watch something else in the dining commons.

I don't understand his disgust for "people acting like hyper 4-year-olds and guessing prices to common objects."

His suggestions of ESPN and CNN may be valid, but it's The Price is Right.

No one wants to see the highlights of all the games they saw on Sportscenter four times the night before, and CNN, well that's just too depressing.

We love Bob Barker and all the diabetes commercials that come with him.

If you don't love Bob Barker -- well, I'll pray for you.

This student expressed his gratitude to President Bush for pre-empting the show. That happened to me.

All my friends and family were ready to watch me, and Bush ruined the day.

Please Chris, enjoy the euphoria which is The Price is Right, and stop bashing it.

One last thing, Barker's Beauties, they're real, and they're spectacular.
