Today's University Park forecast

Mostly cloudy skies and mild conditions will persist today and tomorrow as a ridge of high pressure sits off the East Coast with the risk of a few showers early tonight. Be sure to keep your galoshes handy, as periods of heavy rain develop Thursday night and continue into Friday ahead of a strong cold front. Friday's high will occur early in the day with temperatures tumbling through the afternoon. Some lingering showers and flurries will remain in the picture for Friday night. Skies will begin to clear to start off the weekend, but temperatures look to remain on the cool side.
