Letter to the Editor
Text messaging language seen as unprofessional

This letter is in response to the article "'Text speak' controversial" (Nov. 27).

OMG!

What's the big deal with this txt spk i$ue? AFAIC, and IMHO, txting on exams is a gr8 idea.

If u ppl want 2 write txt on ur exams or hw, then u should b able 2.

It's not ur fault if ur prof can't understand it.

It's not ur fault if it makes u look unprofessional.

All u profs and prospective employers should MYOB.

And 2 all u who don't want 2 use txt spk on exams n stuff, I'll b LMAO and ROFL when ur still writing after the exam is over.

And how often would u actually use txt spk on an exam?

There rn't 2 many opportunities 2 write "LOL," "BRB," "THX," or even "A/S/L," rite?

So WTH do u care? It's NBD. The point is m%t.

You'll c for urselves.

As for me, I'll b txting my way thru my time at Pn St8 for sure.

Just like the commercial says, "It's Ur Time."

So BFN, kids.

Oh, btw, I hope u can recognize irony when u c it.

L8r.
