Another sensational season for the Penn State women’s soccer team ended on a bitter note tonight against Notre Dame in the Elite Eight. With a spot in the College Cup up for grabs, the No. 2-seeded Nittany Lions were soundly defeated by the No. 1-seeded Fighting Irish, 4-0, at Alumni Field in South Bend. Updated 11:30 p.m.

Penn State accepted an invitation today to play in the Outback Bowl on Jan. 1. The first game of a busy New Year’s Day slate will pit the Nittany Lions (8-4) against an Southeastern Conference team to be named on or after Dec. 3. Updated 7:10 p.m.

If finding the perfect pair of shoes to go with that new outfit seems impossible, there may be a solution to online shoppers' woes.

Penn State students did their part to ensure the well being of a future generation Friday at Park Forest Middle School's Wellness Day.

Many people may be afraid to step on the scale after a Thanksgiving dinner filled with turkey, stuffing and pecan pie, but past research shows people may not gain as much over the holidays as they believe.

Nearly half of all college students have felt too depressed to function, but only 22 percent would consider seeking help -- and researchers say the shame and stigma surrounding mental health issues may be to blame.
