Give Lions' defense credit for a season well played

Give credit to Penn State for being the only team this year to shut down the Ohio State offense.

After seeing what Ohio State was able to do against Michigan, I understand that our defense played great outside of that one play where Troy Smith juked out Tim Shaw and lasered a beautiful 50-yard throw for a touchdown.

The football team has been ridiculed pretty harshly this year even though 8-4 is much better than things were at 3-9 and 4-7.

Really if you look at the Ohio State game earlier this year, Penn State gave up a total of 14 points. Ohio State's defense, however, scored 14 points.

The team competed well in every game this year outside of the Notre Dame game, which I hope I will be able to forget.
