Local cinema offers free premiere

Tonight students who want to blast forth and hear three-part harmonies can do so for no charge.

Carmike Cinema 5, 116 Heister St., along with RepNation, will be sponsoring a free premiere of the new movie Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny starring Jack Black and Kyle Gass, said RepNation account supervisor Eric Schoenberg. Students interested in the premiere must log on to the Web site www.givemeaxis.com to print out a ticket.

The event, organized by RepNation, is taking place at 25 campuses around the country, Schoenberg said.
