Sullivan said the Salzburg Chamber Soloists' performance is the second show so far in the Intimate Excursions series, which is a series of chamber music.
"All together, there are four performances in the Intimate Excursion," Sullivan said. "For events like this we typically sell 400 seats, but we would like to see that number increase. It's an uphill climb to get students interested in chamber music."
Sullivan said the performance should last about two hours.
"There is a pre-show talk at 6:30 with members of the orchestra where they will just talk about their music and tour. The event is available to all ticket holders," Sullivan said.
The Village at Penn State's Life Care Retirement Community sponsored the performance.
"[The Village is] long time supporters of center of performing arts, and we try to sponsor one event per year," director of community relations for The Village at Penn State's Life Care Retirement Community Jill Lillie said. "We chose to be a sponsor of this particular group because they sounded interesting and they were one of the performances that fit our budget constraints."
