Blood drive participation lacks, confuses students

As someone who has received a blood transfusion, I'm a little confused by our student body's lack of involvement in the blood drive. Rarely do I hear of people donating blood; rather, there are mostly excuses. I refuse to believe that, on a campus this large, there are only 2,000 people eligible to donate.

If we can stand on our feet for two days to help kids with cancer, what's stopping us from lying down for 20 minutes to help save a life and get free pizza? Thank you to everyone who makes the effort.

Shame on everyone who makes poor excuses.
