Triponey's comments show lack of concern for UPAC

Vicky Triponey does not have the interests of the students in mind ("Organizations voice concerns over funds," Nov. 6). The problem is Triponey's desire for power and control. Her statement to direct funding concerns to UPAC represents exactly the lack of caring that has been a problem with student funding since the beginning of the year. UPAC used to be fair and serve the students, but since then Triponey has reformulated the funding system to put the power over student funds into her own hands and those of hand-picked students.

This hurts the university now, and it'll hurt it in the future. Many people I've talked to will not give to the school once they graduate due to its blatant disregard of student concerns. I beg the administration to not let the desire of power over money sully and degrade our fine institution.
