Ed Rendell deserves credit for being one of the few incumbent politicians willing to campaign on what he's done while in office. This stands in stark contrast to the Republican Party, which has gone to great lengths to fool the American people into thinking that voting for a Democrat is equivalent to supporting terrorism. Last week, Rick Santorum said, and this is the exact quote, "Bob Casey is aiding and abetting terrorism and genocide." Not only is this statement egregious, it is an insult to every Pennsylvanian.
Ed Rendell, on the other hand, stood in front of a crowd of Penn State students and told them what he's doing to help them. I respect him for that. Despite what Kevin Andrews and a certain protester who hid behind a mask think about Ed Rendell, he has done many good things for Pennsylvania. One of the best things he has done is raise the minimum wage. It was long overdue, and it shows that he cares about every single Pennsylvanian, not just those who can afford to donate to political campaigns. If you think raising the minimum wage was another one of his terrible decisions, meet somebody whose quality of life is going to improve because of it, and you'll think otherwise.
