Kevin Andrews is taken aback by the governors "exponential budget growth," which really amounts to about 5 percent per year ("Rendell 'terrible' for PSU," Nov. 2). I don't see how a rational person could expect much less budget growth.
In the same breath, Kevin faults the governor for the university's tuition increases. I'd remind Kevin that the governor isn't setting, or even spending, his tuition dollars.
What is it about Rendell's budget growth that makes it abhorrent while Spanier's budget growth is something noble that the state should cater to?
