Student reports disturbance in dorm

A female student in Bigler Hall reported to Penn State University Police that a group of 7 to 10 males were screaming and banging on doors in the residence hall between 11:30 p.m. and 2 a.m. Friday, police said.

Tyrone Parham, university police assistant director, said one of the men forced his way into a resident's dorm and said he was looking for something.

Parham said interviews are being conducted to identify the individuals, who would be charged with disorderly conduct, criminal trespassing and harassment.

Woman reports violent attack on street

A female reported to the State College Police Department that she was attacked by an unknown white male Saturday at about 4 a.m. The woman told police she was entering a building on the 600 block of East College Avenue when she was grabbed around the neck from behind, police said. The female was allegedly punched four times before another male entered the area and chased the assailant.

Two charged in altercation with police

A woman was charged with obstruction of emergency services and resisting arrest after she refused to allow police to treat a friend who was suffering from an alcohol overdose at about 1 a.m. Saturday at 123 S. Atherton St., according to the State College Police Department. A man was also charged with obstruction of administration of law after allegedly fighting officers who were arresting the woman.
