Letter lacks sympathy for assault victim
In response to Trevor Crowser's letter ("Paternoville assault story presents blurry information," Oct. 23), I am offended by his blatant disregard for the victim. Whether or not she was assaulted anywhere near Gate B or Gate A or that there were no tents at the time is simply not enough evidence to say this person was "obviously" not assaulted. Simply because it was game day does not discredit this violence charge in the least. I hardly think the victim meant to defame and "change the meaning" of the good name of the sacred Paternoville. So she was believed to be a Michigan fan. How does that justify pushing and shoving someone to the ground? If keeping the good name of Paternoville means ignoring assault charges by victims, then I am simply embarrassed by the ignorance of those who claim to have Penn State pride. Bans against Paternoville don't bother me if assaults are being prevented. "Pride, good spirits and positive energy" comes with respecting our fellow patrons as well. Victoria Schwoebel
