A month-long drug investigation ended last night with the arrest of two Pennsylvania men who allegedly delivered cocaine to police officers in downtown State College.
State College Police and Pennsylvania State Police arrested Robert J. Jones, 23, of Catasauqua, and Adam Ceykovsky, 18, of Danielsville, on the 500 block of E. Calder Way at about 8 p.m.
Police said the pair had just delivered about one ounce of cocaine to police during a "controlled buy."
In a criminal complaint, police said that they met Jones and Ceykovsky near Hooters, 538 E. College Ave., and exchanged a "clear plastic baggie, knotted, containing an amount of a white substance in chunk form."
A search of their blue Ford F-250 vehicle found an additional half-ounce of cocaine, $1,100 in cash and an electronic scale according to a criminal complaint.
Two female minors who were in the vehicle were released to family members, a press release said.
Centre County District Attorney Michael Madeira said that the amount of cocaine -- 1 1/2 ounces -- is usually intended for resale, and it is an amount that Madeira said he would expect to see on mid- to low-level drug dealers.
Jones and Ceykovsky were arrested and arraigned before District Judge Carmine Prestia on charges of criminal conspiracy, possession with intent to deliver, delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and corruption of minors, according to the press release.
Jones and Ceykovsky were taken to Centre County Prison in lieu of $75,000 each.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 1 at Centre County Courthouse in Bellefonte.
