1993, '06 team differences include offensive linemen
This is in regards to Josh Moyer's column comparing the 2006 Nittany Lions with the 1993 version ("A little familiar? Take a look at '93 for '06 dilemmas," Oct. 20). Yes, there are some similarities. However, the biggest difference and the point Moyer never touched was how good the offensive line was in 1993 and 1994 and going into the NFL draft. There is only one offensive lineman on the current squad who will play in the NFL and that is Levi Brown. The other 2006 Nittany Lion offensive linemen better hit the books and learn a different trade because, unfortunately, they are awful. This is mostly because Penn State has lost the ability to develop quality offensive linemen, a trait that used to be one of the program's strengths. No, the 2006 team is closer to the 2000 and 2001 teams in regards to the overall talent than they are to the 1993 team. Joseph Dorman
