Sexual assault reported

Collegian Staff Writer

A female State College resident reported to the State College Police Department that two unknown males sexually assaulted her while she was walking home yesterday morning.

The alleged assault occurred at about 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of Hillcrest Avenue and Allen Street, State College Police Sgt. Mark Argiro said.

The intersection is located a few blocks north of Park Avenue. Police said the woman, 24, reported that she was separated from her boyfriend during the walk to her apartment when two black males yelled, "We are..." to which she responded, "Penn State!"

The two men then allegedly grabbed her and pushed her to the ground. They then allegedly fondled and groped her, Argiro said.

The woman described the first assailant as a black male, 5'10" to 6' tall, muscular build, wearing a crewneck, white short-sleeved T-shirt and jeans. The woman described the other assailant as a black male of similar height and weight to the first man, wearing a blue and yellow horizontal striped polo shirt.
