Letter to the Editor
Recent UPUA election can teach us a lesson

When I read Monday's article "Bundy Ousted Chamberlin Wins" and discovered that Jay Bundy had been disqualified from being president, I have to say that I was rather shocked.

Even though what he said was horrible and disgraceful to his voters, he was nonetheless voted into office fair and square.

So I feel it is undermining to our student government program to be able to take someone out of office for some dumb reason they mostly made up to disqualify him because they did not like him and what he said.

Just think if that could be done in the federal government elections. They would basically just become a facade to seem like we are actually voting.

Bundy never had the chance to gain power before he would be ousted.

Still, Bundy is a disgrace to the voters because he is supposed to stand for what we think.

Maybe they should take this as a lesson and next time make a better informed decision.

After all, as Bundy said the stupid voters elected him.
