Bundy appeals to administration

Collegian Staff Writer

Jay Bundy, the recently disqualified University Park Undergraduate Association (UPUA) presidential candidate, met with two administrators this morning in Old Main to ask them to intervene in the UPUA election.

Last night, the UPUA elections commission disqualified Bundy and named runner-up Jay Chamberlin president after it determined that Bundy had exceeded his campaign spending limit.

Vicky Triponey, vice president for student affairs, and Felicia McGinty, associate vice president for student engagement, were present at this morning's meeting.

Bundy asked them to issue a statement saying they would not recognize UPUA until fair elections were held.

Triponey, however, said she would not interfere with the election commission's decision.

"We have no authority in this matter," she said.

Bundy received the highest number of votes in Wednesday's election.
