Cursing unnecessary in Collegian articles
Is the Collegian trying to get as many swear words into the newspaper as possible? Since when is it appropriate to use swear words like the ones included in Friday's article, "Bundy: Voters 'stupid'." Also, just last week, an expletive was used to describe the situation outside of Willard. I know that the Collegian writers were quoting various individuals, but it still seems awkward to see these words being used in a newspaper. Also, on the cover of Friday's issue, the front picture had a student wearing a hooded sweatshirt that included an expletive. I know that the picture was trying to show our great fans in Paternoville, but still, couldn't they have picked a better picture? It just doesn't seem appropriate for the Collegian. Let's just stay classy, Penn State, and keep it clean. Peter Soung
