Alum appalled at coverage of Bundy, Michigan game
As a two-time graduate of Penn State, I am absolutely appalled and ashamed of Friday's Daily Collegian for a couple of reasons. Namely, I'm talking about the picture on the front page and the continued and overly profane coverage of Jay Bundy's latest words. For those of you who were spared the Collegian's crash and burn Friday, the picture on the front page showed Ed Johnson signing items for students, one who was wearing a blue sweatshirt with maize letters arranged into words that are better left not reprinted. Then there is the Bundy article. Note to editors: How about supporting someone who takes his job seriously and not printing profane material in what was once a reputable newspaper? After glancing over the front page I was truly ashamed and embarrassed. Returning to Happy Valley for football games is a time-honored tradition for many alumni, and at some time, the vast majority of them will pick up a paper to get the latest campus news or a bit of humor. I have as much love for this school and I am truly ashamed of what I saw Friday. Tyler Morris
