Letter to the Editor
Student leadership choice not a popularity contest

Let me get this straight. Jay Bundy has violated several election codes, some of them like last night's debate stunt, solely to provoke controversy and publicity.

The Daily Collegian has stated that his affiliation with the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws will undoubtedly strain his credibility with the very school administration that he's supposed to work with.

Bundy's wide-reaching plans for the student government, which the Collegian so glowingly admires, are later in the same endorsement feared to create a bureaucratic mess within the UPUA.

Despite all of this, the Collegian still endorses Bundy for his "charisma."

Silly me, I thought that this was an election for the most competent student government, not a popularity contest.
