Students report stolen electronics

Three Penn State students reported to State College police that $1,000 worth of electronics was stolen from their apartment on the 200 block of Highland Avenue during a small party Saturday night.

"When the guests left, so did some of their stuff," State College Police Lt. Dana Leonard said.

An iPod, 25 Xbox games, five DVDs and a backpack were reported missing.

Ferguson police look into car crashes

Ferguson Township Police reported the investigation of two vehicle accidents on Blue Course Drive about one-third mile north of West College Avenue on Sunday.

Police said Troy Walk, 24, of State College, was driving northbound on Blue Course Drive in a 1998 Mazda 626 when he lost control of his vehicle and crossed over the center divider and into oncoming lanes, where it came to a stop.

Police said several motorists were assisting Walk when Harrison Hazel Jr., 62, of State College, was traveling southbound and struck the passenger side of Walk's vehicle.

Walk, Hazel and a passenger in Hazel's car, Treva Stover, 77, were all taken to Mt. Nittany Medical Center, where they were treated and released, police said.

Police said they are looking for anyone who witnessed the first accident. Anyone with information is urged to call 237-1172.
