Soaring Club President Jeff Johnson (senior-industrial engineering) glides in a Blanik L13 from Ridge Soaring Gilderport on Tuesday Afternoon. The club, which meets every weekend in Julian, has three gliders that use rising air currents to lift the aircraft. Funds for the gliders came from money raised by selling T-shirts, hats and sweats at home football games. More coverage on the Soaring Club.
