Chisely waives preliminary hearing
Former Penn State football player LaVon Chisley waived his right to a preliminary hearing yesterday on misdemeanor drug charges, Karen Muir, Chisley's attorney, said.
Police had recently wanted to interview Chisley in relation to the murder of a Penn State student Langston Carraway, who died during the summer.
Centre County District Attorney Michael Madeira would not comment on whether or not the interview has taken place.
He said yesterday that "the offer's out there" while Chisley is in Centre County court taking care of his drug charges.
Muir has said she does not believe Chisley resides in the Centre County area.
