Open casting calls for both The Real World and Road Rules took place on the HUB-Robeson Center lawn in 1998, where people auditioned for season eight, which took place in Hawaii.
The auditions today will be held for a season 19 cast, and the location has yet to be determined.
Applicants need to bring a non-returnable photo along with photo ID with them to the casting call.
Tony Sapia, owner of Tony's Big Easy, said the venue has been used in the past for similar events.
Sapia added that it is great that it is large and centrally located to host the casting call.
Real World auditions are split up into groups of 10 with casting directors, who initiate conversation with the group in a casual, relaxed environment, Haight Carlton said.
She added that open casting calls are a "tried and true" method of generating cast members for the show, and one of the main thing casting directors are looking for is "charisma."
"We're looking for big personalities, and people who can be themselves," she said. "The more people who turn out, the better."
