Letter to the Editor
Maybe time to begin passing the students

It really bothers me to read articles like "Lion banned from surfing into suites," Sept. 21.

Rules like this are just ridiculous and created to cater to those stuffy, rich alumni who don't want a furry lion to mess up the tea party in their private suite.

Penn State has been a successful football program because of tradition and excitement of the fan base.

So, if this tradition is to end, then perhaps the students can start a new one in its place.

I was thinking that it'd be very fun and original if nearly all of the students in the front row went crowd surfing up to the suites after each Penn State touchdown or perhaps just at the end of the third quarter. All the fans would get into it and it would make a great scene in the stadium and on camera.

This solution would alleviate the lion problem but still allow fun and tradition to take place.

And as long as the people in the front row keep their ticket stub during their ride, they could just walk back to their seat afterward.

Truly, this is a win-win resolution.
