Letter to the Editor
Kids, not mom and dad, make college decisions

In response to Nate Ramsden's letter, I have this to say. If I ever have children who want to attend another university, I plan to fully support them.

I can't understand how you would force your child to attend Penn State just because that's where you went. That is one of the top 10 worst reasons for attending a university.

Going to college is about getting the education you want, not the education your parents want. It is very arrogant and selfish of you to say that you would boo your child just because he or she chose another university.

I love Penn State too, but that's going a bit too far.
