Does anyone else think it's ironic that some Muslims throughout the world have been staging violent protests in reaction to Pope Benedict's remarks?
Islamic extremists are outraged that the pope quoted a 14th-century scholar who said that the prophet Muhammad brought nothing but "evil and inhuman" things to the world, but their behavior has only proven that they are using Muhammad's teachings to incite hate and violence.
They have killed a nun, burned churches to the ground, publicly set fire to an effigy of the pope, and just for good measure, threw some American flags in there too.
Clearly, these protestors are irrational and should not be given the satisfaction of an apology.
Neither the pope nor anyone else should have to censor themselves when speaking about terrorism and violence in the name of Allah in order to accommodate Islamic extremists who so falsely represent the Muslim faith.
