Abortion choices are definitely a joint proposition.
In reference to the letter "Abortion decision a choice for women only, not men," Sept. 14, there is no way women can claim it as her own choice because they are the ones carrying the baby.
How many men will have to pay child support and will be financially responsible depending on women's decisions? What if she decides to have it and the man does not want to?
Legally he would be entitled to pay for the baby even though he did not want to have it.
A child affects the lives of both the father and mother.
It does not simply end with the nine months of "work" the woman puts into the pregnancy.
Some of the previous opinions are irresponsible. Where are the statistics to support these arguments?
There are plenty of abortions made not out of necessity, but neglect and irresponsibility.
And if men are going to be burdened with the financial and emotional responsibility for the rest of that child's life then we damn well have a say in women's measly nine-month investment or choice not to.
