As many students gathered in front of the Allen Street gates this morning to commemorate our country's great loss five year ago, they were met by protest.
The student action group of Tradition, Family, and Property rallied on the corners of Allen Street and College Avenue to emphatically proclaim their anti-abortion beliefs.
The group stood out from ordinary college students by wearing red scarves over their suits and ties, passing out fliers and chanting "Remember eternity - eternity is a long time."
Penn State students seemed to have mixed feelings about the event. Some students honked car horns while passing to show their support, while others displayed their disagreement with action.
James Slobodnik, a member of Tradition, Family, and Property, had his clipboard knocked out of his hand by a passer-by.
The rally will continue until 4 p.m. and more information about Tradition, Family, and Property can be found at www.tfp.org/sa.
