The HUB lawn gets cultural

Collegian Staff Writer

Eliczer Moreta partnered with fellow Penn State International Dance Ensemble (PSIDE) members to perform a salsa and an Irish slip jig at the World Cultural Festival yesterday night on the HUB lawn.

PSIDE, which has existed for more than 10 years, incorporates different types of dancing from all over the world. Several members performed international dances at the World Cultural Festival.

"We are serious dancers, but we like to have fun." Moreta (senior-psychology), who is originally from the Dominican Republic, said. "I could talk about dancing all night long."

Moreta came to the United States when he was accepted to Penn State three years ago.

"My mother lives in Florida and I have other relatives all over the country, but I do not get to visit the Dominican Republic very often," Moreta said.
