Centre County Commissioner H. Scott Conklin spoke at the Centre County Democrats' Annual Public Issue Breakfast from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. yesterday at the State College Ramada Inn, 1540 S. Atherton St.

Centre County Councilman Donald M. Hahn introduced Commissioner Conklin, who is currently running for a seat in the 77th District of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

Commissioner Conklin integrated his speech topic of political ethics and professionalism with the goals he has set for his current campaign.

"We should be more concerned with good public policy than looking good to the public," Conklin said.
