So I look at the Collegian for the first time since last football season, and what am I greeted by? News that as a responsible 26 year old, I won't be able to drink a beer during a game.
Apparently, all of us alumni and students have been so out of control for the last 46 years that we drove a university committee to discuss our behavior for months. And this is what they came up with? I hope you guys graduated from Michigan or Ohio State. May JoePa help us all if you're fellow alumni.
The constant blame put on alcohol for all of the University Police's enforcement problems has affected students for years, and now it's affecting alumni. You can mess with a lot of things, but messing with my tailgating is crossing the line. I never thought I'd be one of those angry alumni who writes to the Collegian, but this one got to me.
Good luck enforcing this one. It's not 1919 anymore.
