This is in response to the letter "Party rep affects students, fans' tailgating experience," September 5. I'd like to point out that no one is stopping anyone from tailgating.

The only thing that this policy is trying to cut down on is excessive drinking during the game. You can drink before, and you can drink after.

And, quite frankly, if you can't go the three hours of the game without a drink, you've got bigger problems than violating the university's policies.
