[ Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2006 ] Letter to the Editor
Context of column flawed structurally and logically
This letter is in response to the column "Reasons for crisis in Middle East defy logic" August 8. Structurally, this article also defied logic. Virtually none of the premises supported the actual conclusion in the author's argument. Aside from that, it seems the author does not understand the true origins of the Israeli/Arab conflict. It stems from thousands of years of struggle for a birthright to the same piece of soil. Nothing else matters. In fact, it seems that most "secular" reasons drawn for the ensuing struggles are fabrications of misinformed journalists who do not seem to understand history that includes religious beliefs.
