This letter is in response to the article "County could fund Ventura's expenses" August 1.

How dare he. Where do these accused murderers come off expecting taxpayers to pay to help their defense? This must be a joke. Does this man know what it is like to dig deep in order to find enough cash to put toward a loved one's funeral? These people make me sick. What makes me sicker, though, is the fact that they seem to have more rights than the victims or the survivors of the victims.

It's time for our courts to take a look around and do something for the victims and the survivors who are left with the rest of their lives in constant pain that has been allegedly caused by these people.
