Police Log

Arson: The State College Police Department said a couch was intentionally set on fire in a parking lot at 200 W. Hamilton Ave. There are no suspects.

Loitering: State College Police Cpl. Tim Sleeth said charges are pending against a man who was found loitering and prowling on the property of Acacia fraternity, 24 Locust Lane.

Theft: A Penn State student reported the theft of his laptop, valued at $2,830, from the Willard Building sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 11:20 a.m. Friday, Penn State University Police said.

Trespass/Harassment: A female student reported to Penn State University Police Saturday that two unknown men attempted to enter her room in Haller Hall at about 2:45 a.m.

Unlawful Use of Computers: Penn State University Police are investigating an incident in which an unknown person sent harassing e-mails to several Penn State accounts.

State College police are located at 243 S. Allen St. in the Municipal Building.

University police are located in the Eisenhower Parking Garage on campus.
