This letter is in response to the editorial, "Police reaction unacceptable," July 20. The editorial states "students should be outraged by the delayed (police) response."

Outraged? For what reason should I be outraged? These events occurred between 5 and 5:30 a.m. By 11 a.m., students would have been awake and the suspect who entered the rooms would surely have been long gone.

In this situation, I find the Collegian to be making a big deal out of nothing as well as overestimating the importance of these events.

I highly doubt any students did anything more than read the editorial and feel sorry for the unfortunate women who were assaulted.
