Police Log

Criminal Mischief: A student reported to Penn State University Police that an unknown person damaged her computer in Wolf Hall sometime between 10 p.m. July 20 and 2 a.m. July 21. The damage is estimated at $1,000.

Theft: An unlocked car was broken into sometime overnight Thursday into Friday at 1161 Williams Street, the State College Police Department said. Eighty to 100 CDs, valued at $800, were taken.

Theft: Penn State University Police reported Friday that they are investigating an incident in which an unknown person accessed Penn State user accounts and used a Penn State server to solicit unwanted e-mails.

Theft: A student reported his red mountain bicycle, valued at $700, and his bicycle lock were stolen from the 300 block of East Beaver Avenue sometime overnight Friday into Saturday, the State College Police Department said.

Theft: A woman reported to the State College Police Department that she lost her wallet with $1,300 cash inside. She told police she last remembered having the wallet at Firestone Tire & Service Centers, 2165 S. Atherton St.

State College police are located at 243 S. Allen St. in the Municipal Building.

University police are located in the Eisenhower Parking Garage on campus.
