Scheduling conflict cancels concert

Summer Jam 2006, the July 29 concert featuring Saving Jane, Cheyenne and Josh Kelley, has been canceled due to a scheduling conflict. Cheyenne couldn't attend, said Bernie Punt, marketing manager for the Bryce Jordan Center.

Both the BJC and Ticketmaster will automatically reimburse all tickets purchased using a credit card or Lion Cash. If tickets were purchased using cash or check, buyers must either mail their tickets to or visit the BJC's ticket center.

All refunds will be handled by the University Accounting System and will be processed within two to four weeks.

Nine unlocked vehicles burglarized

State College Police Sgt. Mark Argiro said nine unlocked vehicles were broken into sometime overnight from Tuesday to yesterday. He said this is the third rush of vehicle break-ins in the same general area over the past couple of months. None of the vehicles broken into were locked, and nothing significant was taken. The vehicles were located on West Foster Avenue, South Osmond Street, South Corl Street, West Highland Street and Metz Street, Argiro said.
