Red Cross to 'keep motors running'

An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today in room 104 of the IST Building.

As part of the Keep the Motor Runnin' summer blood donor campaign, each blood donor will receive a black biker T-shirt and a chance to win a Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Individuals aged 17 years and older and who weigh at least 110 pounds may be eligible to donate blood.



Campus roads still to close for paving

The intersection of Bigler and Curtin roads on campus will be closed from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday night. The intersection will reopen to traffic 6 a.m. Thursday.

The previously planned closure between Friday and Sunday is cancelled. Closures are still scheduled for a few nights between Aug. 11 and 15 for the final paving installation.

Bigler Road will be closed from Curtin to Pollock roads periodically to continue utility work between July 17 and Aug. 15.

Available vehicular and pedestrian routes will be posted at www.opp.psu.edu/construction/news.cfm. The construction is being done to install underground utilities for the new Health Services and the Life Sciences/Materials Sciences buildings.
