A motion filed by the attorney of the man charged with the February murder of Penn State senior Michael Donahue claims his client was drunk and seeks the suppression of statements he said to witnesses and police that night.

A hearing will be held July 31 to determine if the commonwealth can still seek the death penalty in the trial of Andrew A. Rogers, who is accused of murdering Penn State student Youngcheol Park in February.

For most students, arriving at college for the first time means driving a few hours; for Alejandra Rivera, it means entering a new country and way of life.

The visiting players laid sprawled out on the artificial turf of the batting cages before the June 25 game. The Batavia Muckdogs coach stood in front of the players, nonchalantly challenging them to take pitch counts deep, play good defense, and keep their eye on the prize.
