NEWS

A Boalsburg man is facing vehicular homicide charges in connection with a March car accident that killed a Penn State professor after the legality of the driver's eyesight came to light.

Although the cause of death has not been identified, State College police said the passing of a 24-year-old former Penn State student and local resident does not appear to be homicide.

Three days ago Brian, Mike, Matt and Tom could have passed one another walking along Beaver Avenue and not given each other a second glance.

It took only 13 days for all 21,000 Penn State student football tickets to sell out -- which is the fastest student tickets have ever sold out in Penn State's football history.

The Penn State Black Caucus addressed its concerns last week about expressions of hate in connection with the unsolved murder of 26-year-old Penn State senior Langston Carraway, who was found stabbed to death June 5 in his apartment.

Space in the dorms is going to be even tighter than usual come fall semester as a record-sized freshman class moves into on-campus housing.

The deer is finally here.

SPORTS

It's been almost seven weeks since students last attended class at Penn State and even longer since they've had a chance to see their beloved Nittany Lions football team.

Perhaps the only way to even come close to replacing former Penn State ACHA Division I Icers head coach Joe Battista would be to find someone who could elevate the seven-time national champions back to the top spot -- and, maybe more importantly, expand and uphold the program.

Mother Nature cooperated this time.
