Letter to the Editor
Readers respond to issues surrounding censorship of art exhibit

Penn State, as a multicultural university, should promote the respect and tolerance of beliefs of all its various communities ("PSU censors exhibit," April 21). A sound discussion between the communities can make the Penn State community as a whole a place where people are respectful to each other. If you respect every other human being, you will respect yourself and you will respect others. Making fun of the beliefs of others will always lead to violence.

Peace is not only a word; it's also a behavior. And we may know sometimes how violence will began, but we don't know how, when and where, it will finish. Humanity can overcome all the difficulties that arise if everyone were just to treat others as they want to be treated.
