Letter to the Editor
State should withdraw funds in response to censorship

Charles Garoian's decision to censor Josh Stulman's exhibit on Palestinian terrorism is proof that tolerance only applies to left-wing opinions at Penn State ("PSU censors exhibit," April 21). Garoian stated the exhibit "did not promote cultural diversity" or "opportunities for democratic dialogue." Is he implying that Palestinian terrorism against Jews does promote these things? Is Palestinian terror a "culture" that needs to be respected in the name of diversity? I deeply resent my tax dollars being spent to promote Palestinian terrorism.

Gov. Ed Rendell and other state legislators should take steps to begin pulling funding from Penn State's School of Visual Arts if Stulman's exhibit is not reinstated. This censorship shows the school is not dedicated to providing true education to Pennsylvania students, but is rather a propaganda vehicle for Palestinian terrorism and anti-Semitism, which should not be supported by Pennsylvania taxpayers.
